In this standard rom-com, George Clooney and Julia Roberts play divorcees trying to stop their daughter’s wedding. From jump, the outcome is obvious but that doesn’t mean that Clooney and Roberts don’t shine and remind us how true movie stars can sparkle in any role. While the bride and groom do a fine job, the true third star of this film is its Australia Gold Coast setting (which is pretending to be Bali). A good 15 minutes of the run time is spent on sharing island scenes and it looks spectacular. Grade: C plus.
